Very cool, very useful.
- Thomas Peters CatholicVote.orgVery cool. It's a new app to walk you through making a good confession.
- Mark Shea Catholic and Loving ItI had this app on the iphone and loved it. Thanks for bringing it to Android. Such a simple and effective way to prepare for confession.
- Nancy AndroidYou may be skeptical about using an iPhone or iPad app to help you prepare for a sacrament. I'll admit that I was… but after having tested and thoroughly reviewed the Confession app, I'm hooked!
- Lisa Hendy CatholicMom.comYes, provided you do it with a spirit of reverence for the sacrament. Many of our users have found the Sacrament of Confession easier when they use the app during confession - the app has been designed as an aide to your confession, like a journal or prayer card.
The app has been granted imprimatur which represents the approval of our local Bishop, Kevin C. Rhodes. The imprimatur is not an endorsement by the bishop of the contents of the app - It is a public declaration that nothing offensive to Catholic teaching on faith and morals has been found in it.
Yes. This app is intended to help a person prepare for the sacrament of Confession with a Catholic priest. It is not intended to function as a replacement for confession!
An Imprimatur is an official declaration by the Catholic Church that a work may be produced. Imprimatur derives from the Latin, "let it be printed," and having an imprimatur means that the local Bishop (in our case, Bishop Kevin C. Rhodes) has reviewed our work and found it to be in accord with the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Can modern technology help strengthen our faith? According to Pope Benedict XVI the right application can.
In his recently released papal document, "Truth, Proclamation and Authenticity of Life in the Digital Age," Pope Benedict XVI says it's not enough to just "proclaim the Gospel through the new media," but one must also "witness consistently."
Little i Apps specializes in mobile application development with a Roman Catholic twist. With our team, it's not uncommon to find the newest coding books lined up next to texts like St. Augustine's Confessions or John Paul II's Theology of the Body. We make apps for Catholics like ourselves - for those tapped into technology but grounded in the Catholic faith..

Pope Benedict's general prayer intention for January 2011 was, "that young people may learn to use modern means of social communication for their personal growth and to better prepare themselves to serve society.” Little iApps developer and co-founder, Patrick Leinen, said, "Our desire is to invite Catholics to engage in their faith through digital technology. Taking to heart Pope Benedict XVI's message from last years' World Communications Address, our goal with this project is to offer a digital application that is truly ‘new media at the service of the Word.' The app has already aided one man in returning to the sacrament after 20 years. We hope many more will take advantage of this new confession resource.”
