A prayer help for those of us in whom the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak - a novena with daily pop up reminders. I love it! Besides, it brings to mind some of John Paul II's great teaching.
- FairKayeSo much in this app! And it's gorgeous too. Love it.
- Kathleen SmithI just recently started using this app. It is amazing. My work frustrations are less and less each day. But more importantly, my Mom had and still prays the Novena and her prayers were answered in regards to helping me start my recovery from alcoholism.
- "EIS" IronbiteLove this app! Great prayers and the Novena has a daily reminder and holds your place so that you never skip a day!
- BridgitBSt. Gianna is one of my favorite saints and has helped me through so many difficult times in my life. This app is wonderful and I highly recommend it, especially if someone is looking for a powerful saint- St. Gianna is very powerful!
- Devoted to St. GiannaYes, provided you do it with a spirit of reverence. Many of our users have found our apps to be helpful in their prayer lives. Several of our apps carry the imprimatur.
The app has been granted imprimatur which represents the approval of our local Bishop, Kevin C. Rhodes. The imprimatur is not an endorsement by the bishop of the contents of the app - It is a public declaration that nothing offensive to Catholic teaching on faith and morals has been found in it.
While the app has many of the common features found in devotionals like the history of the saint or blessed and prayers, it also features artwork, videos and novena reminders via push notification.
An Imprimatur is an official declaration by the Catholic Church that a work may be produced. Imprimatur derives from the Latin, "let it be printed," and having an imprimatur means that the local Bishop (in our case, Bishop Kevin C. Rhodes) has reviewed our work and found it to be in accord with the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Can modern technology help strengthen our faith? According to Pope Benedict XVI the right application can.
In his recently released papal document, "Truth, Proclamation and Authenticity of Life in the Digital Age," Pope Benedict XVI says it's not enough to just "proclaim the Gospel through the new media," but one must also "witness consistently."
Little i Apps specializes in mobile application development with a Roman Catholic twist. With our team, it's not uncommon to find the newest coding books lined up next to texts like St. Augustine's Confessions or John Paul II's Theology of the Body. We make apps for Catholics like ourselves - for those tapped into technology but grounded in the Catholic faith..

Little i Apps Releases the eVotions series on iTunes. The Launch includes a free JP II app!
South Bend, IN — Scott Hahn, Archbishop Chaput, and Lisa Hendey are among the list of contributors to a new series of apps from the developers of Confession: A Roman Catholic App. Three short months after the release of their worldwide bestseller, Little i Apps, LLC announces the launch of eVotions -- a series of digital devotions for modern Catholics.
The series makes its debut on the iTunes App Store with the release of three new apps including, St. Joseph, St. Gianna, and Bl. John Paul II. Designed for tech savvy Catholics, these prayer apps are packed with image galleries, streaming videos, and push notifications for praying novenas. The apps also feature common prayers, introductions by well known Catholics, and writings on the tradition and history of each saint and blessed.
Patrick Leinen, developer and co-founder of Little i Apps, LLC, said, “Digital ministry is exploding all around us. Catholics can be a part of this evolution without sacrificing the beautiful traditions that have kept our faith alive for centuries. eVotions will not replace the practice of devotions; the series will enhance it!”
Well timed with the beatification of Pope John Paul II, Little i Apps, LLC is delighted to offer Bl. John Paul II as a free download. “All the members of our team grew up in the JP II generation. His extraordinary witness of faith impacted us greatly. It is for this reason that we wanted to create something in honor of his beatification! We are excited to give this app away for free as a way of saying thank you for the amazing wave of support we received after the release of our first app,” said Leinen. St. Joseph and St. Gianna are available for $0.99. eVotions are coming soon to the Android Market place!
